« Pierreux is just below the slopes of Mont Brouilly, the vines planted on deep granite subsoil. This dense wine is laden with tannins as much as with young black fruits. The richness is right up front, giving red-berry jamminess balanced by fresh acidity at the end. Drink from 2022. »

It reveals notes of juicy / fresh bigarreau cherry, crunchy raspberry and small notes of crushed blackberry associated with touches of cornflowers, lilac, cherry blossoms as well as hints of Brazilian pepper, fresh licorice stick and racy minerality / sense of place. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, a beautiful definition, suavity, silkiness, a fine chiseled side, finesse, a beautiful aromatic precision as well as elegance. « Robe grenat, intense. »

« Brilliant magenta. Assertive, sharply delineated aromas of mineral- and spice-tinged red berries, cherry and candied flowers, along with an exotic, emerging suggestion of blood orange. Bright, focused and nervy in style, offering palate-staining raspberry, bitter cherry and lavender pastille flavors and a building mineral quality. Finishes sweet, silky and impressively long, leaving floral, spice and smoky mineral notes behind. Josh Raynolds - October 2019 »
